SmartScales is a free multimedia application available on iPhone that aims to make practicing scales and arpeggios interactive and enjoyable. Developed by Greater Heights Media Ltd, in collaboration with experienced music educators and software developers, SmartScales offers specially-composed backing tracks in a wide range of musical styles.

This program offers graded exercise packs, which closely follow the syllabus of the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), the largest music education body in the UK and a leading provider of music exams worldwide. Users can try out exercises in each grade for free before making in-app purchases. Currently, the content is available for Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass, with more instruments coming soon.

SmartScales provides a comprehensive set of features:
