Singreesi is a Chrome extension developed by Thameera Senanayaka that simplifies typing in Sinhala. This free add-on allows users to type Sinhala Unicode text effortlessly, similar to composing an SMS. For instance, typing "ammaa" would yield the Sinhala word "අම්මා".

Singreesi has undergone several updates, with version 0.4 resolving garbled character problems such as 'tu' and 'thoa'. Additional features were introduced in subsequent versions, including Help documentation and a Copy function. Moreover, the latest release, version 0.7, addressed an issue with the extension not functioning correctly in Chrome 67 onwards.

Please note that there is a known bug with the Yansaya feature, which is currently not operational.
