The TV Remote Control app allows you to use your smartphone as a remote control for your TV. All you need to do is download the app, set the connection type (IR or LAN), choose the manufacturer of your TV and start using it.

There are two different methods you can use:

IR - all major television manufacturers are supported (Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic, Vizio, Philips etc).

LAN - your home network (wifi)

How does it work?

The app has a built-in IR transmitter which sends a signal to your TV.

If your TV does not have an IR transmitter, you will need to use an IR emitter. It is a small, cheap device which can be found on Amazon, eBay or in any electronics shop.
