Silent Start is a simple app that works in the background. If you do not want your computer to make a startup sound, then you have to turn your volume down when you turn off your computer, and then turn the volume back up again after it has booted up. With this app, it simply removes the startup noise so that you do not have to mess around with your volume settings. This app cannot silent-start if your headphones are plugged in, but it will warn you about this when you are shutting down.
