SIGMA -Entrust is a free-to-use productivity app from Entrust, global leader in card printing technologies. This augmented reality (AR) platform allows you to envision life with an Entrust SIGMA direct-to-card printer, which is useful for business owners and financial card issuers. Using the app, you can choose one of the brand’s existing printers and place it on any surface you see around you.

Aside from making visualization easier, it’s worth noting that the SIGMA -Entrust app also facilitates app-to-printer connections. Therefore, it’s a great help for people looking to get one of these printers, imagine Pokemon GO for offices.

Visualize having your own SIGMA

SIGMA -Entrust is built on AR, which essentially creates computer-generated content that interacts with the real world. In this case, you open your camera to get a view of your surroundings and the app places a virtual model of its direct-to-card printers. This is useful if you’re making spatial considerations before purchasing. Additionally, you can choose a model and rotate it to your liking.

More importantly, it allows you to print cards directly via the cloud. You no longer have to set up separate modules. Just unbox the actual SIGMA product of your choice and start printing via the app, made easy with its intuitive dashboard. Also, the app offers all relevant information about the app and the product. It even has links to PDF copies of brochures, user guides, and driver sets.

It goes without saying that the app only supports AR for SIGMA products, and facilitates printing only for its supported devices. Speaking of devices, the app doesn’t work for all models of the printer brand. For one, not all are designed with cloud connectivity in mind. Even then, not all wireless models have updated firmware that works with this app.

Design and print from your device

Whether you’re looking for a new printer or already have one in the office, SIGMA -Entrust takes the experience to the next level. It uses AR technology well, making it easier to imagine what a SIGMA printer would look like in your office space, saving time and resources. While it’s not a universal solution for desktop card printing devices, the app itself works well. Recommended.
