SideSweep: World Cup Pool, developed by theSanjo.com, is a dedicated sports social app for running FIFA World Cup prediction pools. The app lets users create and join private or public sweepstakes, predict match outcomes and exact scores, and compete on live leaderboards across group and knockout stages. It includes customizable scoring, automated point calculation, and push notifications. Football fans and social groups benefit from simplified pool management and competitive match-day engagement. The developer targets casual groups and office pools with minimal setup.

Makes tournament sweepstakes simple to set up and play

The app focuses on match-by-match predictions, letting users enter scores for group and knockout games, then see rankings update after each result. Create and join pools through public or private options, so organisers can run both open competitions and invite-only groups. Automated point calculation and on-match deadlines remove manual scoring chores, which helps groups keep attention on the matches rather than spreadsheet upkeep.

Manages group workflows with invite codes and single-account access

Private pools use unique invite codes to control membership, while public pools let wider groups participate. A single account supports participation in multiple pools simultaneously, allowing users to track separate office, family, or friend leagues without switching profiles. The social-first layout places group management tools and leaderboards within easy reach, reducing the organiser overhead when running several sweepstakes.

Automates scoring and keeps leaderboards current for match day

Points are awarded automatically after each match concludes, so results and rankings update in near real time. The app supports customizable scoring that can reward outcomes, exact scores, or goal differences. Key daily tasks that benefit from automation include enforcing prediction deadlines before kickoff and showing immediate leaderboard changes, which keeps match-day competition timely and engaging for participants.

Built for Android with tournament-focused reminders and layout

The app runs on Android devices and requires Android 5.0 or later for optimal performance. Push notifications provide match reminders and leaderboard change alerts, helping users submit predictions on time and follow standings during live match windows. The developer designs the interface specifically for World Cup schedules and team formats, so the layout reflects tournament stages and match timing rather than year-round league play.

A practical pick for social groups who want low-effort World Cup competition

SideSweep: World Cup Pool is a practical option for football fans and organisers who want to add friendly, structured prediction games to match days. Its automation and single-account multi-pool support reduce administrative work. It is focused on major tournaments, so its day-to-day usefulness declines outside World Cup periods. The app suits casual groups and event organisers looking to inject competitive fun into tournament viewing.
