ShowMIDI is an open-source multi-platform GUI application specifically designed to visualize MIDI activity in real-time. Rather than sifting through cumbersome logs of MIDI messages, ShowMIDI offers a user-friendly interface that automatically filters out irrelevant data, providing a clear and concise overview of ongoing MIDI activity on your computer.

With ShowMIDI, users can easily pause the flow of MIDI data using the spacebar or play/pause button, allowing them to focus on a snapshot of the latest state of any MIDI entity. This feature enables efficient monitoring and analysis of MIDI data without missing any crucial information.

The program can be used both as a standalone application, which seamlessly detects all MIDI devices, and as an AUv3 plugin in DAWs or hosts, enhancing the visualization of MIDI data within music production sessions. ShowMIDI's visualization capabilities include MIDI ports, channels, various MIDI messages like note on/off, program change, and control changes, as well as support for MPE configuration and channel modes.
