Shogun Hex is a strategy game based on the Japanese historical period of the 16th and 17th centuries.

The game is set in the year 1603, when the country was in a state of turmoil, with many battles and conflicts.

In this time, the most powerful families in the country, the Tokugawa, were trying to dominate the other great clans, the Mochi, the Ape, and the Shimazu.

It is a time of pageantry and corruption in the shogun's court in Edo (now Tokyo) and of riotous gaiety in the pleasure quarters of ancient Kyoto, shuttered away from the world of social restraint.

Shogun Hex is a fast, samurai-themed game inspired by board games.
