Shadow Ultra champion: Battle Super Fighter is a fighting game based on the universe of the same name, created by the Japanese manga artist, manga producer, and publisher Shueisha. The game was released in Japan in 1997, and was licensed by Viz Media for an English-language release in North America.

The game takes place in the universe of the same name, wherein, the Earth has fallen under the attack of an unknown enemy. The player, known only as "the Chosen One", is chosen by the universe's inhabitants to become the defender of the Earth. The universe is divided between two factions, the forces of evil and the forces of good.
