Self Dictation is an Android application developed by HK Pupil under the Education & Reference category. This app aims to help children practice dictation by themselves without the need for parents’ presence. The app uses a Text-to-speech system that supports English, Mandarin, and Cantonese languages, so parents who do not know these languages can also help their children practice dictation.

One of the main features of Self Dictation is the ability to record Chinese or English dictation content, mainly supporting words, but also allowing short sentences. The app can automatically convert these words to sound using the Text-to-speech system. Additionally, students can manually record their pronunciation and practice dictation in limited time. The app also allows users to share the dictation content (excluding pronunciation) via email or other messaging tools like WhatsApp, LINE, etc.
