SeasonWatch is a community project that aims to create an online database of information on the seasonal cycles of 100+ common trees across India. The project collects information from the public through the Internet, and aims to create a comprehensive database that will provide a baseline for future comparison. 

What is SeasonWatch?

SeasonWatch is an India-wide project to monitor the seasonal cycles of flowering, fruiting, and leaf-flush of any of 100+ common trees. 

How do I get involved?

You can create a user account on the app and register a favourite tree that grows near you. You can then monitor the tree regularly (we recommend once a week), by using the app to record the leaves, flowers, and fruits. These are what we call 'regular observations'. By monitoring through the year, and over multiple years, you will build up a long-term picture of the seasonal behavior of your tree(s), and whether it is changing over years. 

You can also record this information on any tree you come across, in one-off observations we call 'casual observations'.
