Scrutinized is a survival horror and investigative simulation game by the independent developer Reflect Studios. It was initially released on Windows but will be eventually released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch as well. In this role-playing game, you’ll play as a member of the UDF army, Luna Youngman, which has been ordered to execute a mission by the president.

You have taken a roadblock from the main city and your objective is to infiltrate the town where numerous criminals are lurking.  For the same enjoyment as Scrutinized play, check out Five Nights at Freddy’s and Outlast. 

Thrilling investigation works

The horrors in Scrutinized hide behind the charming, suburban front door of every house. Thus, you have to dig deeper in order to weed out the villain in the sleepy town. Through various applications lying prettily on your home computer, you will, as the title suggests, scrutinize every resident. A database filled with reports for each person is provided for you to analyze.

From cell phone images, decades-old police reports, recent purchases, text conversations, social media accounts, and search history, you will have full access to every data you need to wisely assess certain persons as threats or not. The computer-generated A.D.O.S system contains dedicated tools that will help you successfully accomplish the tasks including the RootKit—a virtual cellphone cracking utility that can be used to obtain more evidence from suspicious persons. 

Simultaneously, you have to be wary of your surroundings because even if you feel safe inside your home, unforeseen danger can still attack you especially with the line of job you are in. Thus, you have to always ensure that each of your windows is tightly closed and the lights are on. If jump scare content freaks you out, worry not, as an option to turn it off is available.

Simply work day and night for ten days, quickly evaluate individuals, and track down the felonies corrupting your small town.
