SAOL is a dictionary app based on the lexical database that was created and developed by the Swedish Academy. It is designed to make the language learning process easier by providing the user with a tool to improve and expand his vocabulary.

The app contains a large selection of words from a variety of sources, with the largest portion being made up of words that have not appeared in previous editions.

It is based on the same lexical database that was used for the preparation of the 14th edition of the Swedish Academy's dictionary.

The application contains more than 13,000 new words and should be seen as an expansion of the previous dictionary app.
