Santri AI-Asisten Pencari ilmu, developed by Alat Wasilah, is an Android app that connects pesantren study with AI-supported religious learning. The app supplies a searchable Kitab Kuning library, a digital Al-Qur'an with colored tajwid and audio, and utilities such as Zakat and Sharia inheritance calculators to apply rulings. Aimed at santri, asatidz, and Muslim learners, it centralizes traditional references and practical study aids for classroom and self-study use.

What Santri AI does for pesantren study

Santri AI functions as a consolidated study and worship assistant by combining classical texts and AI tools on Android devices. It presents the Al-Qur'an with colored tajwid, transliteration, translations, and MP3 murottal, alongside a library of Kitab Kuning and Maulid books. The app also lists prayer time notifications, a Qibla compass, and culturally specific calendars for Javanese pasaran, situating reference material next to daily ritual utilities.

How it supports reflective study and applied rulings

The app emphasizes reflective learning and applied fiqh through an AI-powered Spiritual Room for religious inquiries, muhasabah, and meditation plus a Bahtsul Masail simulation for complex rulings. Practical calculators for Zakat and Sharia inheritance (Waris) implement Shafi'i formulas, letting learners test scenarios and compare outcomes, which helps bridge textual study with real-life application in personal and community contexts.

Is it suitable for santri, teachers, and self-learners?

The tool fits both classroom and individual study needs in the Indonesian context, since it targets pesantren students, religious teachers, and Muslim individuals. Cultural tailoring appears in the Javanese market-day markers and pilgrimage guides with maps for Makkah and Madinah. The developer designed the app for modern Android smartphones to support its AI and multimedia features, so learners should use a contemporary device for full functionality.

How feedback and customization work for learning workflows

Learning feedback centers on AI guidance and reflective practice rather than numeric reporting. The app offers muhasabah features and an AI Spiritual Room that support self-assessment and guided inquiry. Content customization is visible in the integrated digital Tasbih with tap or voice control and the ability to consult many traditional texts, but the feature set does not present formal progress metrics or a teacher-grade dashboard for classroom reporting.

A practical match for culturally focused study, with a note on assessment needs

Santri AI is a practical option for pesantren students and religious instructors who want a single mobile hub for reference material and reflective study in an Indonesian cultural frame. Its approach supports applied learning and personal accountability. Educators who require formalized, numerical progress tracking or a classroom management console should consider that the app privileges guided inquiry and self-assessment over institutional reporting.
