When the player encounters a creature, the game automatically shows the creature's name and armor. In order to get a better idea of what the creature is, the player can look at its runestone. This mod adds a magic system to the game, complete with 102 runes and a magic skill. When the player is equipped with a specific rune, the attack button can be used to cast a spell. Unlike the greydwarf eye, the runes are designed to add utility to the base game and make use of underutilized materials while not distracting from proper Viking axes and swords.

This mod is based on the game, so there are some limitations. For example, the player cannot equip more than 50 runes at a time and the runestones are randomly placed in the world. Also, some runes are not randomly placed but are placed based on the world settings. There are also some limitations regarding the combat and the attack buttons.
