In a classic rummy game, the goal is to accumulate as many points as possible by forming melds and eliminating triples. When a player gets rid of all of their cards, they win the game. If all of their remaining cards are matched, the player may lay them down without discarding them on their last turn. This ends the game and there is no further play.
