rpmsagent is a Chrome agent designed for the RPMS system, which is a TR-069 based terminal management solution (ACS). It allows Chromebook users to install rpmsagent and communicate with the server to exchange information.

The rpmsagent is specifically designed for devices using Chrome Education Upgrade (CEU). It acts as a CWMP client to communicate with the ACS server, establish periodic server connections, retrieve device resource information (such as CPU, memory, and storage), and gather information on installed Chrome web app lists. It then transmits this information to the ACS server via RESTAPI.

The ACS server processes and stores the collected status information from the devices. Administrators can access the ACS server to view overall device statistics, current status of individual devices, and cumulative statistics. This allows administrators to identify and address issues based on the collected device information.
