The app can also be used in non-augmented mode or by downloading and printing the target from the Rolls-Royce website.

This unveils a stunning intro animation featuring a cutaway view of the Trent 1000 and airflow as it passes through the engine. It also includes four augmented reality scenes, each with hot spots revealing a wealth of wow facts, animations, and information. Users can pinch and zoom in to view incredible detail in the realistic 3D engine model and rotate the engine through 360° to view every piece of technology.

Additionally, the app allows users to turn on/off information hotspots and augment the 3D model of an engine into their surroundings using their camera and the downloadable target. The non-augmented view negates the need to use a target but still allows the full interactive experience. The four scenes include the Engine scene, Fan System scene, IP Compressor scene, and HP System scene.
