Rogue Lineage is a free fantasy RPG game for Roblox with roguelike elements. If you’re a fan of Minecraft but want something a little more rich in lore and slightly less blocky, you’ll enjoy this game by Monad Studios. The game is different from many other fantasy Roblox experiences in that it functions with a permadeath mechanic and is quite difficult to play. Gameplay

If there’s one thing that Rogue Lineage excels at, it’s varied and exciting gameplay. To start off with, the game is full of characters that add extra layers of depth. These characters are integral to the overall lore of the game, and they are all extremely well-written. The game also has numerous faiths, races, and creeds of people to explore as you try to survive the perilous landscape. 

Permadeath

This is a term that shocks even the most hardcore gamers to their core. Essentially, permadeath means that your character doesn’t have an infinite supply of lives lying around. A good example of a game without permadeath is Minecraft. Steve and Alex can die infinitely and respawn to continue on their quests. 

The permadeath mechanic in Rogue Lineage, however, is slightly different from those in other games and aptly supports the use of the word lineage in the game’s title. In Rogue Lineage, each time you die, you get closer to permadeath. Once that happens, your character is no longer usable. However, your character does pass on most of its individuality to its heir. This heir will be your next character until their heir takes over. This is the Rogue Lineage to which the game’s title refers.
