Japanese Folk Tale Karuta is a companion app to the "Japanese Folk Tale Karuta" game released by Gintori Industries. It offers two main features that enhance the karuta playing experience.

The "Read Aloud" feature randomly reads the karuta reading cards out loud. Parents can easily adjust the "time to move on to the next karuta" and the "number of repetitions for the same karuta" to match their child's level. The app provides a user-friendly interface that even young children can navigate easily. Best of all, the "Read Aloud" feature is completely free.

The "Card Viewing" feature allows users to view the picture cards, reading cards, and summaries of the folk tales. By touching a picture card, the corresponding reading card's audio will play, and touching a hiragana character will play the audio for that specific character. This feature allows children to listen to the audio while looking at the picture cards, or practice reading the reading cards out loud and studying hiragana. With the included summaries, parents can easily explain the stories to their children. Just like the "Read Aloud" feature, the "Card Viewing" feature is also free of charge.
