Retyc for Gmail is a Chrome extension designed to enhance email security by allowing users to send large files easily and securely. This add-on integrates seamlessly into the Gmail interface, adding a button to the compose window that facilitates the transfer of end-to-end encrypted files without leaving the email page. Users can simply drag and drop files into the panel or select them directly, and Retyc handles the encryption and upload process. Once the upload is complete, a secure link is inserted into the email for the recipients to access the files safely.

The extension prioritizes user privacy, ensuring that plaintext files never leave the sender's machine, as encryption occurs directly in the browser. The recipient can decrypt the files using the secure link, and the extension manages keys client-side, preventing any unauthorized access. Retyc operates efficiently on Chrome and Firefox, requiring no additional accounts beyond the existing Retyc account. With its user-friendly interface and focus on security, Retyc for Gmail is an excellent tool for anyone needing to send sensitive files via email.
