Resilient is a simulation game that immerses players in a post-apocalyptic world set in the 17th century, where they must manage a group of survivors. As the leader, players begin with a handful of characters and must develop a thriving colony while navigating the challenges posed by the undead. The game allows for organic colony layout, encouraging strategic planning in resource management and production chains.

In addition to building and expanding the colony, players can define ideologies and enact laws to shape the community. The gameplay consists of daytime resource gathering and colony development, followed by nighttime defenses against zombie attacks.
