Reigns: The Witcher is a premium adventure PC game by developer Nerial. It is an interactive fiction experience based on the popular The Witcher series of fantasy novels and video game adaptations. It tells the escapades of Geralt of Rivia as chronicled through the ballads of his most loyal friend and traveling companion, Dandelion. It will be released on February 26, 2026.

Reigns: The Witcher is the latest entry into the ever-popular The Witcher series of video game adaptations, and it’s the most unique yet. Instead of battling monsters hack-and-slash-style, you will be swiping cards left and right, wary of the effects your choice will have on the outcome. Solve puzzles, unlock new deeds, and welcome familiar faces like Yen, Triss, and Vesemir during your escapades. 

Level up Dandelion's career and renown throughout the land to unlock new plotlines. Be wary, though, as things don’t always look as they seem, with tales going towards unpredictable directions and situations that you need to adapt to. Aside from this, there’s limited information about the actual gameplay, so you’ll have to wait for the game to release to find out more. 

A fun retelling 

If you’ve been a long-time fan of The Witcher novels and video games, Reigns: The Witcher arrives as a nice surprise and offers a unique approach to experiencing the narrative and getting to know its characters. Trade sword and signs for swipes, and witness Geralt’s story unfold through the lyric and lute courtesy of Dandelion’s musical improvisations, as only he can come up with.
