Screen Mirroring with Minimal Effort
Reflector is a handy and easy-to-use utility software that lets you view the activity from your mobile devices on your computer screen. This screen mirroring application uses a wireless connection and utilizes AirPlay, Google Cast, and Miracast features to stream your phone’s content to your desktop. When you are looking for an easier way to share your device screen, this app is worth checking out.
Go for a bigger screen
As with any screen mirror apps, Reflector works to let you view your mobile device’s content on your computer or laptop. Only it does it easier and quicker. The app combines the capabilities of Apple TV, Chromecast, and Windows devices to create a powerful, all-one mirroring receiver. It communicates with your devices that use Google Cast, Miracast, and Airplay mirroring, allowing those devices to connect to the app and mirror their screen without needing additional software.
The app offers the option to launch the stream of your mobile device in full-screen mode to view your content on a larger screen. However, you can also keep the windows smaller, so you can work with other tasks. The full-screen view is more efficient, though, as its interface really mimics the mirrored device, which takes more space than a simple video window.
Reflector also comes with a Preference window, which allows users to select the device type. Doing so will prompt the app to optimize the video output. The program supports high-definition resolutions and will automatically shift to landscape when you rotate your phone.
Although the app comes with no instructions, it is quite easy to use and only needs minimal user interaction. However, if you are a new user or a newbie when it comes to screen mirroring, you need to at least read the startup guide from the developer’s website.
Beyond basic with no extras needed
Reflector works with devices you use every day. The best part is, you don’t need to use adapters or cables to do so. It wirelessly mirrors your device screens to your PC at up to 60 fps. More, it goes beyond the basic screen mirroring service. For one, it can connect to multiple devices, and it’s not limited to the same type of devices. You can connect any combination of devices.
When you connect multiple devices, the app automatically adjusts the layout of the screen. This is so the computer can proportionally display all the devices. With this, you can also view them side-by-side to compare collaborative environments.
In addition to multiple screen mirroring, the app also offers screen recording. With this, Reflector will be the only software you need to create demos, tutorials, or walkthroughs. But that’s not all. In the recording function, you can add voice-over audio and even embed frames. You can also add webcam videos to your recordings for an added personal touch and feel.
To make it more awesome, you can stream the device screens directly to Youtube in real-time. With this, you can invite anyone around the globe to watch your screen. Like with its screen mirroring, Reflector also allows multiple screen recording. You can even include them all in the same recording.
Users can change some of the recording parameters, including the recording background color, quality, and resolution. Finally, users can take full-resolution screenshots with a simple click of a button.
Seemingly limitless screen duplication
As it is, Reflector is a powerful screen mirroring software. The quality of the mirroring is fantastic. Add in a wireless connection, and it just makes the entire process a whole lot convenient. More, it offers other great services that make it more useful. However, there is still quite a long waiting time when connecting the devices. Also, the stability of the connection is not always at 100%.
