Our goal was to create an educational tool that would assist dyslexic readers, beginning readers and other readers with a variety of learning challenges.

Our approach was to take a simple yet effective tool and make it more powerful and appealing to people who need it most.

How is ReadWithColor different than other dyslexia tools?

The main difference is that with ReadWithColor, the text and punctuation are highlighted graphically. In addition, the whole text is not just an outline - the text is highlighted and colored and, when you press any key on your keyboard, the selected text will be colorized.

How do you use ReadWithColor?

When you first install the ReadWithColor extension on your browser, you will be presented with a pop-up window, which contains options to customize your text environment.

ReadWithColor contains four options:

Background colorSyllable colorFont styleFont sizeFont style (bold, italic, underline)

If you select "Background color," your text will have a background color, which is customizable in the Options window.

If you select "Syllable color," the syllables will be colorized.

If you select "Font style," the font style will be applied to your text, and the font size will be applied to the font style.

If you select "Font style (bold, italic, underline)," your text will be rendered using the selected font style (bold, italic, or underline).
