Scans paper documents, renders PDFs with fast scrolling, and keeps files organised locally on an Android device. Readfly - PDF Scanner, from Hamza Grt, targets students and office professionals who need a privacy-minded mobile workflow. It combines an integrated document scanner, enhanced zoom for precise reading, and a compact storage footprint, so users can digitize, search, and manage PDF documents on-device without account setup.

What the app is for and how it handles PDFs

Readfly presents itself as a mobile PDF scanner and reader that focuses on document access and local management. It opens, views, and organises standard PDF documents, and includes an internal search function for finding text inside files. For professionals who produce or collect receipts, reports, or study materials, the app handles the complete read-and-store loop on the device.

How the scanning-to-output workflow runs

The app integrates a document scanning experience that captures physical pages and turns them into PDFs, then places those files into its local management system. Scanning flows directly into the viewer, so a scanned page can be reviewed and stored without leaving the app. Search and file organisation tools let users group scanned receipts, lecture notes, or office forms for later retrieval.

Interface, onboarding, and privacy stance

The interface is described as clean and modern with a small footprint, which reduces onboarding friction for mobile users. No account registration is required, and the developer states the app does not collect user data or share it with third parties. Those facts make the app appropriate for users who prioritize device-first privacy over connected collaboration features.

Performance, compatibility, and operational limits

The rendering engine is optimised for fast scrolling and enhanced zoom, which supports quick navigation through long documents on standard business hardware. The app targets Android exclusively and keeps files local, so it does not provide built-in cloud synchronization or cross-platform sharing. It handles PDF files and scanned outputs; other document formats are not part of the described capability set.

Who should choose Readfly and when to look elsewhere

Readfly is an appropriate choice for individual students and mobile office users who need fast, private document scanning and on-device PDF management. Teams that require automatic cloud sync or cross-platform collaboration should consider other tools. For solo users who need responsive rendering and a compact app footprint, Readfly offers a focused, device-first workflow that keeps all documents under local control.
