Rainbow Room: Survival Story is a free action game from OJOY Games where you will have to play several different mini-games in order to survive captivity under the hands of a group of monsters. There are other captives with you. However, you never know who could be friend or foe.

Rainbow Room: Survival Story’s set-up is pretty similar to that of 30s Sausage: Survival Master, which also lets you play a random quest for each level, where you have to remain one of the last few characters standing or make it to an exit in time.

Go up against a team of monsters

As previously mentioned, Rainbow Room: Survival Story has five possible mini-games that you can play on each level, with varying levels of difficulty. These games can range from battling in hand-to-hand combat to playing a game of Red Light, Green Light against an all-seeing monster. As you progress throughout the game, the difficulty of these mini-games continues to rise, as well.

This game makes use of some well-made graphics paired with terrifying monsters and a gritty setting to capture that eerie, horror-like feeling. Each level also presents you with a quick tutorial on how to navigate the mini-game, so you can easily understand how to maneuver your character. However, do take note that there is a slight delay when performing certain actions.

Players should also note that there is a large number of pop-up ads that they will have to go through while playing the game. These can appear even in the middle of a level, which can get in the way of your playing experience. Since there are only five types of mini-games, the gameplay also gets repetitive over time and loses its thrill.

Could use a few tweaks

Rainbow Room: Survival Story is a promising game that presents a unique sort of gameplay. However, it still lacks content that can make it entertaining to play in the long run. With some additions to the mini-game types, it has great potential to become a well-loved game. Just keep in mind that there are also a large number of pop-ups that you will have to deal with.
