Rage is an action-packed game set in a post-apocalyptic world. The game takes place in the near future, where civilization is on the brink of extinction after a meteorite hits the Earth. You find yourself in the vast wasteland, where humanity is trying to rebuild itself amid constant threats from bandits, mutants, and the tyrannical state regime called Power.

The game features intense firefights with hordes of mutant bandits, and players can participate in tight races to modify their buggies. Rage has a vast range of hand weapons, including classic ones from other games and unique types exclusive to the game. Players can improve their guns with various optional devices. Additionally, there is an in-game economy where players can spend the game money earned from fights and races to buy new weapons and reinforced armor.
