Pure Play - Video Player, by Khac Canh Do, is an iPhone and iPad app designed to deliver distraction-free media playback. It runs video and audio in the background and offers a floating Picture-in-Picture window so users can watch while using other apps, and it applies automatic ad-blocking to streaming sources. The app supports resolutions up to 4K, includes a sleep timer and a resizable floating window, and suits mobile users who multitask or prefer an ad-free viewing experience.

The app makes multitasking practical with a resizable floating player

Floating Popup Play Mode places a movable, adjustable window above other apps so media remains visible while you use social or messaging tools. Background audio continues when the device switches tasks, and users can toggle between full-screen and the floating window without interrupting playback. For viewers who keep multiple apps open, this design reduces friction in watching and listening during routine phone use.

It handles high-resolution files and broad format compatibility

The app supports a broad set of video and audio containers and handles resolutions from low quality to ultra-high definition, including 4K playback. It runs on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and requires iOS 12.0 or later, which keeps compatibility with many devices while excluding older releases. Format handling is presented as native, so users do not need additional codec installs to play common media files.

Playback reliability and ad control shape the viewing experience

Playback stability and ad handling are highlighted design priorities. The app applies automatic ad-blocking for video content and pop-ups, which reduces interruptions during streams. An integrated sleep timer adds convenience for evening listening. The app is generally well-received on the App Store, with users praising persistent background play and a clean, ad-free interface. Because ad-blocking is enabled automatically, users should consider the ethical effect on creators who depend on advertising revenue.

Best suited for device-centered viewers who value focused playback

Built by the developer, the app targets mobile viewers who prefer focused playback and multitasking convenience. The floating player offers customization so the overlay does not interfere with other tasks, and support for ultra-high-definition media keeps visual quality intact on capable devices. This configuration suits daily commuters, evening listeners, and anyone who values concentrated viewing on a handheld device rather than content creation workflows.

A focused choice for concentrated mobile viewing, with clear ecosystem trade-offs

The app is a considered option for mobile audiences who prize concentrated, device-centered viewing and unobtrusive media sessions. Its emphasis on removing in-app interruptions creates a different balance between user control and the revenue models of content providers. For anyone seeking an experience that favors uninterrupted consumption over platform-driven discovery, the app offers a direct, purpose-built path. Evaluate your priorities between predictable local playback and platform-integrated discovery.
