Experience a practical blend of traditional measurements and mobile convenience with पटवारी कैलकुलेटर - जरीब बीघा (Patwari Calculator - Jareeb Bigha) from AIPrerna Labs, designed to simplify land-area work. The app performs unit conversions and on-the-spot area calculations for rural land workflows, including a Jareeb chain calculator and multi-unit conversion tools. Its simple interface and offline operation target Patwaris, Lekhpals, farmers, and property dealers who need fast, region-specific math in the field.

What does the app do for traditional land measurement?

The tool converts between traditional and metric measures, supporting Bigha, Biswa, Acre, Kanal, Marla, square feet, square meters and hectares, and offers an explicit Jareeb chain calculator for field measurement. It also includes area calculators for common plot shapes, so users can enter chain counts or linear measures and receive area outputs in the selected unit. This design addresses the frequent need to translate revenue-era units into modern metrics.

How accurate are regional unit conversions and local terminology handling?

Accuracy is bolstered by the app's support for regional variations of the Bigha unit, a stated focus that matches the revenue-system terminology used in states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana. User feedback notes reliable conversion results for those regional settings, and the developer's localized approach reduces the risk of applying a single, incorrect unit value across different districts.

Does it affect device performance and can it be used offline?

The application is described as lightweight and supports offline operation, which makes it suitable for rural sites with limited connectivity. Its small footprint suits a range of Android hardware, and performing conversions or shape-area calculations does not require a network connection, enabling uninterrupted measurement sessions in the field where signal is unreliable.

Do non-technical users need specialist knowledge to operate it?

The interface is intentionally simple to speed routine tasks, so Patwaris and farmers can enter measurements without deep technical training. The app targets everyday workflows used by land officers and dealers, and the developer builds with local terminology in mind, reducing the need for users to translate between formal metric units and regional land measures.

Practical choice for field officers with one platform limitation

Patwari Calculator is a practical option for Patwaris, Lekhpals, and farmers who need quick, region-aware land unit conversion and measurement tools. The main trade-off is limited platform reach, as the tool runs on mobile devices only. For reliable field use, record raw measurements on paper during surveying and verify the selected regional unit before finalising any official figures to avoid transcription errors.
