ProtonVPN (Outdated) is an unsupported version of the free-to-use privacy and security program from developer ProtonVPN AG. This VPN was last updated in December 2019 and has not received more since then. It’s no longer supported by the developer and continuing to use it is not recommended.

ProtonVPN is considered by many users to be one of the best, if not the best, mobile VPNs in the market. The team behind it had continuously worked to keep the VPN improving and up-to-date. Recently it’s been republished under an updated developer name, rendering this version outdated or obsolete.

Outdated and unsafe

No. The developer has made it clear that this is an outdated version of ProtonVPN. It only exists to redirect users who are interested in using the officially supported version. It does work on older versions of Android, but the security risk it poses is not worth it. Besides, its features pale in comparison to the features of the updated version.
