Private Notes uses the browser-integrated "Chrome Sync" engine (encrypted) to synchronize your data across devices. Your password isn't stored at all; it's hashed using advanced PBKDF2 function with 100k iterations and a strong salt. Unlocked notes and decryption keys are never stored - they are only kept in the private system memory and will disappear the moment you close the browser.
