PonyUpz is a Chrome extension developed by Zashy, aimed at enhancing the user experience on Ponychan and Lunachan. It is an upgraded version of the PonyUp extension originally created by Arcs. This extension utilizes HTML, CSS, and Javascript to introduce additional features to the websites, making them easier to navigate and adding some fun elements.

The features offered by PonyUpz are completely optional and can be configured on a per-board basis. Users can enjoy a reply box for quick replies with customizable sections, the ability to hide tripcode for privacy, and a thread saver utility to hide posts for screenshot purposes. Additionally, threads can be automatically updated with a configurable refresh time, and users can view replies to posts within threads.

PonyUpz also offers various convenience features such as animated GIFs on the page, links to Google and Tineye reverse image searches, one-click save and image download links, as well as an option to view EXIF data for images. Furthermore, hovering over an image displays the approximate date it was saved, images can be expanded on hover, and a lightbox is used to display images. After posting, the page automatically scrolls to the bottom, and board pages have an additional +50 reply links. The extension also includes an enhanced Theme Selector with preview functionality.
