Pocket Ants: Colony Simulator is a free simulator in which you can create your own colony. Developed by Ariel-Games, this production allows you to live the life of an ant as you build and expand your territory. You'll have to collect, store, and use your resources to develop the colony.

The gameplay is similar to The Ants: Underground Kingdom. The stark difference between that and Pocket Ants: Colony Simulator is that the latter allows you to raid other players and create a clan with other players. This strategy game also enables you to fight other creatures like tarantulas.

Expand your colony and build your army

There are a lot of elements and tasks for Pocket Ants: Colony Simulator. The game starts off with a tutorial in the form of an entomologist. With the guide, you'll learn how to build different types of chambers, scout for resources, safely explore the outside environment, and process the materials you’ve gathered. The processed materials, especially food, can be given to the queen to help her lay eggs.

These eggs can hatch into either worker ants — that you can assign behaviors and tasks to gather resources and expand the colony — or army ants that will defend the colony and infiltrate other territories. You'll have to teach the newborn ants how to do their roles, which can be time-consuming. You can also recruit other creatures to become your allies if you want to grow in numbers faster.

There are quests that you can complete throughout the game. These tasks are the things you need to fulfill to further the evolution of your colony. Completing these quests will also give you rewards that you can use to speed up certain tasks. A few downsides of this game are that it doesn’t allow offline gathering of resources and there is a limit to expanding the nests.

A great strategy game

Despite not being able to expand offline and limits to growing your colonies, Pocket Ants: Colony Simulator is still an entertaining game. It has a plethora of content that allows you to test your strategy and management skills. The game’s quests and rewards give you something to look forward to while playing, while its PvP and co-op elements enable you to share the gaming experience with other players.
