PMAYU is a mobile application developed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) mission. The application is designed to capture and upload high-resolution photographs and videos of the completed houses along with the beneficiary's family. The app also allows beneficiaries to upload selfies with their houses and success stories of beneficiaries in front of their houses.

The primary objective of the PMAYU app is to create a photo and video bank of beneficiary testimonials that showcase their experiences after moving into a pucca house under PMAY (U). This includes the availability of basic amenities such as water, electricity, kitchen, and toilet, along with the emotions experienced by the beneficiaries such as increased self-esteem, a sense of pride and dignity, improved social status, safety and security for the family, and a protected environment for the girl child.
