Pixel Starships 2 is a free-to-play indie strategy game with MMO gameplay, much like the first title, but it expands on it. Developed by SavySoda, this title offers more features, deeper ship customization, faction choice, and PvP and PvE content, while blending strategy, base building, and crew management.

Pixel Starships 2 shines in its visual ambition and the freedom to design starships. Crew recruitment, ship room layout, and outfitting your ship with weapons, shields, support modules, and more feel satisfying. There is real enjoyment in planning which modules to build and when to strategize in combat. 

There are significant rough edges, largely tied to the Early Access nature of the game. Performance issues are frequent, while combat and progression balance are also problematic. PvP matches often feel unrewarding for less upgraded ships. Another concern is that some features introduced are more aesthetic or incremental than transformational.
