Pirate Kings Campaign is a paid DLC that brings a fresh island strategy challenge to fans of Kingdom Rush Vengeance. You play on the side of the Dark Lord as you battle across five stages to reclaim island territory from the Pirate Kings. 

Island battles and pirate kings await

Pirate Kings Campaign includes five new stages, each introducing enemies like corsairs and buccaneers. Every level supports three modes—Campaign, Heroic, and Iron. The new hero, Lucena, joins the fight with ghostly powers and heavy-hitting firepower. You’ll also get access to the Ogre Shipwreck tower, a wrecked vessel overtaken by warmongers.

While the pirate theme is fun and the additions feel well integrated, the campaign is brief. Some players might find the content relatively lacking for the price, offering roughly two hours of new gameplay. One boss who deletes towers too quickly might also frustrate some players.

Quick but packed with action

Overall, Pirate Kings Campaign offers a fun but short expansion to Kingdom Rush Vengeance. With new enemies, stages, and a powerful hero, it adds just enough to entertain longtime fans. However, the brief content and frustrating boss mechanics might not justify the price for everyone.
