When you buy a product in-store, you’re usually asked to fill out a paper form to request a refund of the VAT (Value Added Tax) you paid on the product. It can be a headache to do this and even more to get your refund, but there are some great apps that can make this process easy and even help you get your refund.

One of the best apps for this is Pie VAT, a free app that lets you request VAT refunds from your favorite stores in a matter of seconds.

So how does this work?

Just go to your favorite store and buy the product you’re interested in. After you purchase the product, ask the cashier to give you a QR code.

When you get the code, open the app, scan the QR code and submit the request for your refund. You’ll get a confirmation email and a voucher for the product, and you’re done!

You can now use this voucher to buy the product you purchased from your favorite store.
