Pianoteq 8 is an award-winning virtual instrument developed by MODARTT for iPhone. This powerful program uses physical modeling to simulate the sounds of various instruments, including pianos, electric pianos, harpsichords, vibraphones, guitars, and steeldrums. Unlike other virtual instruments that rely on recorded samples, Pianoteq 8 applies the equations of physics to calculate how the strings vibrate and how the wood soundboard radiates the sound.

One of the major advantages of Pianoteq 8 is its ability to accurately simulate the playability and complex behavior of real acoustic instruments. Since there are no samples involved, the file size of Pianoteq 8 is significantly smaller compared to other virtual instruments, making it perfectly suited for iOS devices.

Please note that all instruments in Pianoteq 8 will run in demo mode with a few disabled keys until you purchase a Pianoteq STAGE license or link it to an existing user account with a valid Pianoteq license on the developer's website. Licenses purchased on the App Store will also grant access to Pianoteq on other supported platforms such as macOS, Windows, and Linux.
