PHONEMIC AWARENESS BUBBLES, developed by PRESCHOOL UNIVERSITY, is an educational app designed to help children develop phonemic awareness skills, which are crucial for learning how to read. With a focus on teaching the primary sounds of the letters of the alphabet, this app provides a solid foundation for children to understand the alphabetic principle.

Research has shown that children with high phonemic awareness perform better in literacy measures, regardless of the instructional method used (Griffith, Klesius, & Kromrey, PHONEMIC AWARENESS BUBBLES aims to improve children's ability to identify the beginning sounds of words and recognize that words are made up of sound units (phonemes).

The app features two games where children match images with the same beginning sound and another game where they eliminate the image that doesn't match. Additionally, there is a game where children analyze two images to determine if they begin with the same sound. Throughout the game, mini-games randomly pop up after achieving 20 points.
