Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) is an Indian organization based in Mumbai, Maharashtra that has been created by the Indian Government under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. It has been a major force for promoting fuel-efficient technology and the Government of India has been promoting this through various means.

PCRA was established in 1983 and has been conducting competitions since 1999. It is a part of the Department of Science and Technology. PCRA is a research and development (R&D) organization that conducts national level R&D in India, promoting technologies that are energy-efficient, reduce pollution, and improve the efficiency of fuel usage.
