Paprika Recipe Manager is a beautifully gilded app from Hindsight Labs LLC. It provides a huge variety of features such as ingredient scaling grocery planning and of course recipe saving all in a fairly intuitive mobile interface. Far from stopping there it also lets you organize your recipes with notes and categories and even tracks nutritional information.

Just Enough Depth

Paprika Recipe Manager provides recipe recommendations but they're on other websites such as Allrecipes. It provides ingredient scaling and grocery lists but mostly in the context of a set of recipes you've picked out. You can create your own categories for recipes rather than using set ones. Paprika takes some finesse but is designed very solidly. In fact Paprika's only real problem is that which befalls even the best apps: occasional coding quirks. The app doesn't crash often but in our testing it did crash once or twice.

All Around Good Enough

Paprika Recipe Manager is flexible but its design is solid enough that even if you don't use most of its features you will still enjoy the app. And most of its features are useful! Unlike with some other types of apps everything Paprika provides as a cookbook is relevant to the process of making meals. Sometimes it'll be a helpful reminder sometimes it'll be life-saving. If you've got enough recipes to need to track them you've got a reason to consider Paprika.
