Packet Pad is a handy tool that allows users to view Packet Radio transmissions on their iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices. By simply placing the device next to the radio and tuning in to a Packet frequency, users can easily watch the decodes. For improved decode quality, connecting a patch cable from the radio's audio output to the microphone jack is recommended.

The app displays raw APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) packets, enabling users to save received text for later viewing or transfer to a computer via iTunes. It's important to note that Packet Pad only decodes 1200 baud packet signals and operates in receive-only mode, with no transmission capability.
