Original Home Tab is a Chrome extension developed by tronds. This free extension is designed to force the browser to use the default new tab page. It is particularly useful for users whose organization has locked the new tab into a specific web page and want to revert back to Chrome's default page.

Once installed, Original Home Tab ensures that when you click the plus sign next to the last tab, Chrome's new tab page is displayed. Additionally, you have the option to set the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + T to open the extension. This shortcut can be configured in Chrome settings at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
