Oorja Mitra is a mobile application developed by Pragyaware Informatics Private Ltd to promote renewable sources of energy and empower young and educated people to register themselves as Oorja Mitras. The app is designed to help the government of India achieve its goal of reducing carbon footprint by 1 billion tons every year and augmenting non-fossil installed generation capacity to 500 GW by 2030.

The application enables registration of Oorja Mitras and facilitates their induction and orientation training. It also allows them to capture particulars of interested citizens and conduct feasibility assessments. The app also enables consultants to advise interested citizens telephonically and set up appointments with senior consultants for further due diligence.
