Ominous is a premium adventure game for PC by developer Jumpy Unit. It's a first-person multiplayer horror thriller experience with up to four players. In it, they will find themselves trapped inside a mysterious hotel in another dimension as they look for a way out while avoiding running into a deadly creature watching their every move.

Much like The Outlast Trials and Devour, Ominous boasts slick visuals to complement its dark and atmospheric setting that utilizes clever shadow and light effects to enhance the experience. Players must cooperate and work together to survive and make it out alive.

Interdimensional cat-and-mouse

In Ominous, you and your teammates are tasked with closing an interdimensional portal before something dangerous and sinister gets out into the world. Upon arriving on the other side, though, you find yourselves in a strange hotel guarded by something called The Creature. Thus, begins a fight for survival as you attempt to get out alive while avoiding getting caught.

Here comes another twist in the form of interdimensional rifts from the creature's main portal. As a result, you're all in the same space but on a different plane of existence. You must solve all kinds of bizarre puzzles to escape and meet up with one another before the portal explodes. A warning sound will come to signal this, which is completely random and unpredictable.

What's more, this game features procedurally generated levels, meaning each run will feel different each time, keeping you on your toes the entire time. Now, if all this piques your interest, you will have to wait for a while longer since there is no exact release date for the game yet. Also, when it does come, it will be an Early Access title.

Unique horror adventure
