Office Web is a free Chrome extension developed by CheeseFrog that allows users to view online office documents directly in their browser. With support for various file formats including .doc, .ppt, .xls, and .odt, this add-on is a convenient tool for those who frequently work with office files.

The extension works by intercepting the download of office documents and parsing them to an online viewer engine. Users can simply click on a document link and it will be displayed within the browser, eliminating the need to download and open the file in a separate application. This feature is particularly useful for quickly previewing documents without the hassle of downloading and opening them in a separate program.

Once a document is viewed, users have the option to download it by clicking the download button on the viewer page. Alternatively, they can resume the intercepted download through the downloads panel by pressing Ctrl + J. This flexibility allows users to choose whether they want to save the document for offline use or simply view it online.

Overall, Office Web offers a convenient way to view office documents directly in the browser without the need for additional software. Its simple and intuitive interface makes it easy to use, and the ability to download documents for offline use adds an extra level of flexibility. Whether you're a student, professional, or casual user, Office Web is a handy tool for accessing and previewing office files on the go.
