Occupation Outlook is a free mobile application designed for students in New Zealand to help them make informed career choices. Developed by the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, this app covers over 100 occupations, which make up around 90% of the country's job market. The app features three dials for each occupation, indicating their relative income, fees, and job prospects, which can be sorted from highest to lowest.

Tapping on an occupation reveals a wealth of information about its education requirements, average incomes, and employment growth. The app also includes a unique subject-levels-to-occupation matching tool that allows users to indicate their desired level of education in key subject areas and get matching occupations. This award-winning app was recognized with the Best m-Government Service Award for innovative solutions in smartphone applications - International Trade and Economy Category, 2016 World Government Summit.
