Nursing Sim is a mobile game designed to assist nursing students in honing their decision-making abilities related to nurse assignment. It simulates the multifactor process of recognizing nurse competency, evaluating patient acuity, and distributing patient assignments equitably among nurses during a shift. This educational tool provides a safe environment for students to learn and fail without real-world consequences, offering a valuable practice experience.

Developed in collaboration with faculty member Larry Z. Slater for the Leadership & Management course at the Rory Meyers College of Nursing, Nursing Sim aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in a high-risk healthcare setting. Through interactive scenarios, students can enhance their skills in a risk-free environment, preparing them for real-world challenges in nursing.
