We aim to provide assistance to non-resident Keralites both in India and abroad, as well as to encourage them to participate in Kerala’s economic development. 

NRKs (Non-Resident Keralites) are a part of the Keralite community and reside in India and abroad. We have been working closely with NRKs since the inception of NORKA and we understand their problems and needs better than anyone else.

NORKA has evolved as the most effective solution to the problem of overseas Keralite. NRKs working in foreign countries face problems like loss of wages, language, culture, and lack of knowledge about the local customs and laws. These problems make them more vulnerable and they become easy prey for recruiting agencies. The number of NRKs is increasing and so is the need for assistance. NORKA is now focusing on overseas NRKs to assist them in getting jobs in their home state.

NRKs have to face many problems while going abroad. The government has been responding to their problems in various ways, but many of them face problems and issues due to a lack of proper information and documentation.
